Yes, this is the condensed version; I had meant to be blogging all the time (part of the goal of maintaining a blog dedicated to my experience in Oklahoma) but we were busy.  Now I have even more demands on my time, but if I do not start now, with mini-blogs, I will never start.<\/p>\n

So… the journey.<\/p>\n

30 August 2013, Arcata CA:<\/p>\n

Complete with watch-deer<\/div>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n
The empty house \ud83d\ude41  It was a wonderful place to live, in a beautiful setting.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/div>\n
Felix observes the menagerie that will make the move cross country.  Brownstripe the snake at the bottom left; Merry and Pippin in the large crate; Simba (top) and Fiona in smaller crates.<\/p>\n
Many hours later==><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n

 I was early and the boys’ flight into SFO was late, so I stopped at Golden Gate Park (free parking)…<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/div>\n

 and the beach at the end of Sloat for a last look at the Pacific before banishment to the scary center of the country where no seagull ever flies \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

We stopped in Springville for a day…<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n
\n
The cats were happy.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Fiona kept an eye on the parking lot<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
But on August first we drove to Kingman, AZ:<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Merry and Ian claimed beds.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The next day it was I-40 all the way to Tucumcari:<\/div>\n

where the boys enjoyed the pool.<\/div>\n

We arrived in Norman OK August 3rd…<\/div>\n
