jessicaeblack New blog notes

Just a quick update on my new blog(s). I’ve split my original multipurpose blog into three. “Jessicaeblack” is common to old and new, but there may be some confusion. Besides this one, which will be devoted to research tips, particularly data collection and stats, there are two more:

Wild Horses is all about horses with a focus on endurance riding and problem-solving.

Wild Woman’s World is a collection of all non-horse and non-research content. It includes everything I had on my forgotten blogger site.

Part of the reason I created the original blog was to have a place to keep my Statistics Calculators available to me wherever I happened to be, without having to log into accounts or databases. As far as I know, there is still nowhere else on the webs where you can find an online Multivariate Outlier calculator.

The same goes for the very popular blogpost Tips on Using MTurk with Qualtrics. I wanted instructions where I could put my hand on them. Never imagined it’d get as much traffic as it does.

I know that people who use these things don’t want to look at horse content (and horse people don’t want their days ruined by the mention of statistics). So here’s the researcher’s site. I’ll try to keep it updated. Next blog posts will be a brief LIWC how-to and an idea for coding datasets efficiently.
