My podcast with Equestrian Adventuresses

About a month ago, Ute Tonia from Equestrian Adventuresses contacted me about doing a podcast. She had read some of my Road to the Tevis Cup posts here. At some point, she noticed that I had lived abroad for many years (see my About me).

I had already discovered Equestrian Adventuresses some months ago. They are all about women travelling the world and riding horses–can’t beat that for a topic! Besides the podcast, they have a Youtube channel, books and film, and online courses. I was delighted to talk with them! (Even though I hate my recorded voice…)

Anyway, you can access the podcast below. I love the picture Ute chose! That’s me riding Monte Carmelo at the racetrack near Madrid (Hipodromo de la Zarzuela). He was a great gelding, and the first horse that trainer Yan Durepaire put me on, years ago. (I can’t remember when I started riding for him, maybe 2006?)

The other pictures I sent Ute

My podcast with Equestrian Adventuresses brought back a lot of good memories. Talking was fun, and so was looking up photos. Here are a few, just because they bring back good memories! I sent her mainly pictures of me with the horses I’ve had while living abroad. Of course, there were many many more horses, but in those days we had no cell phones to document every moment!
