More about Norman, OK

I’ve decided to do this, but having doubts.  It seems as though as soon as one posts, a whole bunch of virtual bots (I’m sure they’ve got a name but I don’t know it) hit your page and show up as “views.”  With links that I’m not about to click on.  Real people probably never see a blog, unless the author is willing to put a lot more time and effort into it than I am.

Scary thing:  I thought only people I’d added to my circles could see the blog at all (ok ok, so I should make it public if I really want it read.  Give me some time.  I’ve got to get used to the idea of virtual exhibitionism.)  But if those zombie bots can somehow “view” it…

In any case, one more day done in Norman OK.  I feel like I should be carving XXXXXX on my wall, except, of course, that’d make it more difficult to sell.  Perhaps in the garage?

It’s not so bad.  We drove one mile down the road to a little local horse show at the county fairgrounds this morning.  Watched horses of all breeds trot or canter a small course of low crossbars.  Yes, a low bar, but that’s a good thing, quite accessible; the boys could do it.  Full board in stalls ranges from $400-$575 around here; $250-$350 for pasture.  Perhaps a deal can be made at some point.

And we live in a nice neighborhood.  I took some pictures on our bike ride this afternoon:

A neat little pathway that winds between some fancy houses.  There was a HUGE spider on that fence, but the picture didn’t turn out.

This seems to be the housing development offices…

You enter “The Vineyard” though a very cool covered bridge

Although we usually choose one of the two other ways to reach our house, as this pretty way goes north, towards Moore, and not south, towards the rest of Norman.  It’s five miles to the psych department… I’m girding up my loins to bike.  Which  means wearing shorts rather than a skirt, which I am not about to tighten around my waist in some modern version of loin girding.
